Midsummer House (Cambridge) Feedback

Having been here twice now for lunch, I have to say the food is first class and presented beautifully. What lets it down is the service. It is not worth 2 Michelin stars unfortunately, with my coat not being taken and the wine glass running try. Also, some of the staff seem to have pretentions beyond their standing. I would also say that whilst sitting in the bay of the conservatory is very pretty, this is best saved for a less than sunny day as one can easily overheat in this area and the staff did not offer to open the patio doors, in spite of our obvious discomfort. I will go again as the food is wonderful and have yet to go for dinner so will go at some stage to sample what I imagine will be quite an experience. Worth trying though for yourself, but there is better service out there.

An excellent evening, the service was faultless and the superb food will linger in the memory.
