Baroque Virtuosi

Beethoven Mass in C

Kings College Chapel is fairly reknowned for it's classical music concerts so take the time this Saturday to experience Clare College's Choir joining forces with Christina Sampson, Ann Murray DBE, Alessandro Fisher, James Birchall Daniel Pailthorpe (flute) and Jane Salmon (cello), to fill this impressive venue with the soaring sounds of Beethoven's Mass in C. £5-30. Prime Brass

Those brassy boys from Cambridge return to Ely Cathedral on Sunday for an autumnal outing. Ottorino Respighi's Pines of the Appian Way (from Pines of Rome) leads this selection of music for symphonic brass with organ and percussion. Dinner for Schmucks

Invite your inner idiot to dinner this week with 'Dinner for Schmucks'. A foreign film by stealth, despite the Frat Pack pairing of Paul Rudd and Steve Carell (last together in 'Anchorman'), it's actually based on a French comedy by Francis Veber. Summer Exhibition

This week don't miss the opportunity to see the last few days of the summer art exhibition at Michaelhouse cafe on Trinity Street. This exhibition takes place in the serene setting of Michaelhouse church and raises money for the Arthur Rank Hospice charity. It displays local artists including beautiful wood engravings and etchings by Pamela Hughes. It's Garden games week until Saturday 4th September at Ickworth House and Gardens. Food &Garden Show

This Oakleigh Fairs event returns to Parkers Piece for it's third year, for two food and plant filled days on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th September. Visitors to the festival can enjoy all that's good to eat and drink as well as the arts crafts & gift marquees and the ever popular Produce tent. The Gardeners Question Time Roadshow will be on hand to answer all of your gardening queries and there will be cooking demonstrations by local restuarants over the weekend.

Decadence Fashion Show

In conjunction with Cambridge Fashion Weekend in early October 2010, vinvolved Cambridgeshire presents The Decadence Fashion Show - a celebration of fashion by over thirty young designers in Cambridge. All items will be available for sale as one of a kind creations, re-modelled from British Heart Foundation clothes and donations from Vintage Boutiques & London Fashion Week designers.

St Neots History Day

Twelve months of historical investigation throws itself open to the public as part of the St Neots History Day taking place on Saturday. As part of the Shared History Project working with local schools findings will be put on display alongside plenty of hands-on activities.
