King’s College, Cambridge is one of most famed campuses and cultural arenas in the city of Cambridge. The College was founded in 1441 by King Henry VI and in addition to its exceptional academic reputation is very proud of its internationally-renowned Chapel and choir.
The campus is made up of several buildings, dating from the 15th century to the 21st, and gardens that can be dated as far back as the 16th century and which extend across both sides of the river, including the College Backs.
Guests are welcome to visit the grounds and attend choral services in the Chapel. The College offers tours around the grounds and buildings, and the calendar offers many events that are open to the public, as well as the famous King’s Series Concerts, organ recitals, and concerts for special occasions. Highlights also include traditional events around the river and the gardens.
2015 sees the 500th anniversary of the completion of King’s College Chapel, and there will be celebrations all year long with plenty of exciting concerts and performances.
