Stuart & Gillian Hamilton are pleased to welcome you to The Maids Head, Wicken. We acquired the business at the beginning of September. Joining us is Head Chef Andy Brown who brings with him 40 years of experience gained in London, TV/Film location catering and Head Chef at a top Suffolk hotel.

Set by the village green in Wicken the Maids Head lies close by to Wicken Fen, the oldest nature reserve in the care of the National Trust acquired way back in 1899. This traditional beauty spot serves great homemade food. It's a place you will want to discover again and again.

Stop by sometime soon to enjoy a pint of real ale from our 4 handpumps and maybe some lunch or supper. You might well stay longer than you intended.

Converted from a 13th century thatched cottage the building has seen much history and is an idyllic spot on the Stretham to Soham road. The Maids Head is thought to be one of the oldest pubs in Cambridgeshire, with a welcoming log fire and a cosy atmosphere ideal for families.

We can host private parties, weddings, and birthday parties. In the summer we can use a marquee at the front or side of the pub for larger parties and outdoor events in this lovely village setting. Please contact us for further details.
