Cambridge Summer Music Festival 2012

In this year’s festival, several brave artists will be entering into the Olympic spirit and embarking on their own marathons in concerts designed to stretch their mighty musical muscles!

The festival runs from 13th July to 4th August featuring early music ensemble Florilegium in 'Bach Day'on Sunday 15 July- where you can immerse yourself in the wonderfully varied sound-scape that is Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos. A superb and unique opportunity!

Debussy's Images will be performed in full by renowned pianist Melvyn Tan and organist Anne Page will be playing Bach's complete Trio Sonatas in lunchtime recitals throughout the festival.

Other well-known names include former BBC Young Musician of the Year Nicola Benedetti, tenor Nicky Spence, and Elin Manahan Thomas duetting with Crispian Steele-Perkins, performing stunning and sublime music from the Baroque period with the Armonico Consort.
