Clamp Optometrists is a modern, independent practice in the heart of the city of Cambridge aiming to combine clinical excellence with fashion expertise.

We have invested substantially in new technology and equipment for detecting and diagnosing eye conditions, so that our optometrists can provide you with the highest standard in eye care.

Fashion forward
Our carefully selected spectacle frames include well known brands, designer boutique and bespoke ranges. We buy our collections at two of eyewear's biggest trade fairs, in Milan (Spring) and in Paris (Autumn). Our stunning 2013-14 Collection includes frames from: Barton Perreira, Design Naturell, Face-a-Face, Götti, Kirk Originals, Leisure Society, Lindberg, Mykita, Moscot, Oliver Peoples, Paul Smith, Porsche Design and Tom Davies. With Sunglasses from: Barton Perreria, Mykita Bolle, Maui Jim, Rudy Project, and Serengeti.

Contact lenses
We have kept pace with all the latest developments in contact lenses and as an independent practice we can select the ideal contact lenses to suit you, regardless of manufacturer. We pride ourselves on giving our customers the diligent service they deserve, whether it be for an eye test, one of our clinical services, or for the supply of spectacles and contact lenses.

Clinical excellence
Whether you come to us privately, or have your appointments covered by the NHS, we at Clamp’s aim to provide the best in clinical sight tests. Regular eye examinations are an integral part of your overall healthcare and some health issues can be spotted much earlier than usual, by means of a thorough, regular eye exam. Our eye examinations takes 30 minutes, but can be longer if further specific tests are required.

At Clamp’s we use computerised letter charts, a video imaging microscope and retinal camera which allows us to keep photographic images of the inner eye with your clinical records. This enables us to ensure your eyes have the best possible care, and monitor any subtle changes in the health of your eyes.
