Set in a the beautiful rural village of Hildersham, just 8 miles south of Cambridge, the Pear Tree Inn is a freehouse where we pride ourselves on providing that special country welcome.

Our location lends itself perfectly to walking parties and family days out, and we are always happy to see you and your muddy wellies, and your muddy dogs and children! Come and relax in the sun in our garden, or if it's chilly out you can warm up and make yourself comfortable in our cosy bar. There is plenty to choose from our wine list and drinks menu, including the best of local real ale, an unusual and exciting wine list, and a selection of Fair Trade coffee and locally produced soft drinks.

Our drinks
We support local micro-breweries, and the very popular Adnams brewery in Southwold, and you can try some delicious tasting ales, or we have Aspall Cyder, Bitburger and Carlsberg on tap. For wine buffs, you can browse our wine list, which is carefully created by Helen to combine a range of new and old world wines, and we can always help you out with suggestions and recommendations too. We also now offer England's only rum, from the English Spirit Distillery in Dullingham, as well as some of their finest gin and vodka. And our soft drinks are no less exciting; we serve a delicious selection of fresh-pressed juices from Owlet Apple Farm in Kent, as well as the popular Fentimans range of botanically brewed soft drinks.

Our menu
We offer a traditional pub menu, with locally-sourced seasonal produce that includes freshly-baked bread, vegetables, meat and game. Keep an eye on our exciting specials board, for an added tang to the traditional, and sample some of our tempting desserts, homemade and delicious.

Our accommodation
We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in the renovated detached cottage adjacent to the inn, where you can sleep in comfort and enjoy the peace of the village. Our family room sleeps up to four guests with one double and two single beds in an interconnecting room, all with an en-suite shower room. We provide wifi, freeview tv and drinks and refreshments. And in the morning you can sit down to a cooked breakfast, cereals, fresh coffee and orange juice, served in our friendly inn.
