Wimpole Hall & Farm (Wimpole)

National Trust Logo

As you arrive at Wimpole Estate, the difference from the surrounding landscape is clear, with livestock gently grazing in the parkland; venerable old trees in grand avenues and the spectacular mansion gradually revealed. The sense of space and everything on a grand scale is everywhere. Discover how this magnificent country estate followed the latest design fashions over the past 300 years.

Wimpole EstateThis house will not fail to amaze and surprise with its state and private rooms showing how the last owner, Mrs Elsie Bambridge, lived here. Visitors can still meet the servants on certain days in the school holidays, so you might be reprimanded by the Butler and his staff when laying the table!

Explore the atmospheric Walled Kitchen Garden to see how food production has changed over the past 200 years. Meet our wide range of rare breed sheep, goats, cattle, pigs and horses at Home Farm and take part in our many farm activities - from grooming the donkeys; feeding the goats; to watching the daily milking demonstration and animal bath time in the summer. Hidden amongst the trees, there is an adventure playground, with a Kidbine harvester and pedal tractors in front of the farm café.

Wimpole Estate is 8 miles South West of Cambridge, off A603
