The ‘Shire Manor of Madingley’ was granted to John Hynde by an Act of Parliament in 1543. He began building Madingley Hall in the same year, creating what are now known as the south and east wings. Over the following centuries, the Hall evolved from a Tudor home to the impressive Baroque building we see today, with magnificent landscaped gardens courtesy of the renowned 'Capability' Brown.

Just four miles from the centre of Cambridge, and a mere sixty minutes from London, Madingley Hall provides a memorable setting for your conference, wedding or events.

From group training days and garden parties to award ceremonies and management meetings, the inspirational location, coupled with the attentive service of our friendly and experienced staff, will ensure that your event is highly enjoyable and memorable.

Conference facilities:
There are 10 conference and seminar rooms capable of accommodating between five and 90 delegates: each has internet access and can be supplied with a full range of audio-visual equipment, including WiFi and data projectors. Each room is carefully prepared to your specifications by our experienced staff. You may choose from U-shaped, boardroom, classroom and theatre-style arrangements. A conference office is also available, along with support services for any last-minute photocopying or urgent messaging.

Weddings:
It's not difficult to imagine that Madingley Hall could be the perfect choice for your wedding day. We can offer you your wedding breakfast in our magnificent panelled Dining Hall, our stately Saloon or our breathtaking gardens for reception drinks and formal photographs. With the combination of our historic setting and first rate staff and catering, you and your guests will be guaranteed a day to remember. With the ability to accommodate up to 100 guests, we are now pleased to confirm that Madingley Hall now has a licence for civil ceremonies.

Dining:
Whether you’d like a quick, informal buffet or an indulgent, gala dinner, we provide fresh, locally-sourced food of a quality that’s second to none.

Slow-roast, free range shoulder of pork, mustard-crusted salmon, butternut squash and walnut scones… using top-quality, seasonal ingredients, we’ll help you to assemble a tantalising menu that will whet  the appetite of even the choosiest guest. We’re also happy to accommodate special dietary requirements by prior arrangement.

Accommodation:
Our on-site accommodation is located in the glorious grounds of the Hall, just moments away from the conference facilities.

With pleasant views over the woods, gardens and courtyard, the 61 en-suite bedrooms (13 twin, 48 single) are warm, welcoming and comfortably furnished. Each room has internet access, digital television and a direct-dial telephone, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities and a safe for your valuables. A special lift gives access to two rooms adapted for wheelchair users, and all areas on the ground floor can be reached once inside the building.
