For a Rosie day out join us on the River Cam in historic Cambridge
Hourly public trips leaving from The Plough in Fen Ditton, only £5 per adult, £2.50 per child and under fives go free
The Rosie is a 50 foot open sided narrowboat which cruises on the River Cam and Gt Ouse between Cambridge city and the Ely waterfront.
It's the only public hop-on, hop-off boat service on the river. Very reasonably priced it's the ideal way to see Cambridge and the surrounding area.
Rosie's home mooring is the Plough at Fen Ditton on the outskirts of the Cambridge just off the A14.
Pickup points are the Plough, The Penny Ferry at Chesterton, Fort St George, Midsummer Common and Jesus Lock (below the lock in the summer and above the lock in the winter.
Public trips take place each Sunday starting at 11am from Jesus Lock running approx every hour till 4pm.

Seasonal Cruises
Summer Cruises
Throughout the summer months Rosie offers a refreshing 40 minute cruise along the River Cam out from central Cambridge towards the Riverside suburb and back into town past the historic university boathouses. Much wildlife can be seen on the way such as nesting swans, moorhens and kingfishers.
April May 2009 price is currently £4 per person. Public boarding is from just below Jesus Lock.
Winter Cruises
Until 31st March each year Rosie has permission to cruise the historic ‘Backs' of the colleges of Cambridge. Taking in over 800 years of history the tour takes in Magdalene, St Johns, Trinity, Clare, Kings and Queens College, including Maudlin, Bridge of Sighs, Mathematical Bridge and the Silver Street Bridge.
Public or group cruises take approx 40 minutes and include a commentary with drinks and snacks bought from our tiny galley. Public prices are currently £4 per adult, £2.50 per child. Children's lifejackets and food for swans and ducks are available. The Rosie also has a toilet on board.
Group cruises all year round
The Rosie is available for private charter by groups. Contact Liz at Camboats to find out how a cruise can be customised to your requirements.
Chartered cruises can be as short as an hour or take up the entire day! Exploring the River Cam and Gt Ouse rates start for as little as £75 per hour for the hire of the whole boat. Rosie is licensed to carry up to 32 passengers. Prices quoted include commentary and hot drinks. Decorations and catering can be arranged. A toilet is on board.
Birthday cruises - Be a pirate on the Cam!
Why not hire Rosie for an extra special Birthday cruise! You can all dress up as pirates for your trip searching for hidden treasure on the banks of the river. Other themes can also be arranged.
Group cruises
Cruise from your choice of departure point, customised to your group whether a child's pirate picnic with treasure hunt or leisurely cruise down river with family and friends stop for a pub meal, picnic in water meadows or tea and biscuits on board.
Afternoon & Evening cruises
One hour afternoon or evening cruises with tea and biscuits is £75 with a group of 20 this works out at just under £4 a head.
Care home cruises
Cruises are available for care homes at the special rate of £45.
