Five Year Fiesta at The Fox
Celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Burwell pub
On Monday 22nd February we celebrate our fifth anniversary here at the Fox in Burwell.
Our initial ideas of having a traditional community free house with an authentic Mexican steakhouse on the side has seen us grow and grow. We were pleased with the local response from day one and have worked hard on making the restaurant a great destination for somewhere different to eat out.
Our ideas are easy: great service, warm atmosphere, good quality pints, simple and well prepared fresh authentic food. Lunchtimes are the traditional pub style lunches everyone expects, but the evening is where the Mexican really kicks in. The usual menu choices of burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, etcetera, are accompanied by a good selection of the finest steaks, all aged 21 days and cooked to your liking. For something different our specials board includes fresh regular specials including fresh fish and seafood, as well as some more unusual Mexican recipes.
We serve food from 7 - 9pm on Tuesday to Thursday each week and from 7 - 9.30pm on Friday and Saturday nights. But we will open our doors earlier or cook a Mexican lunch, all by pre arranged booking. Naturally it makes sense to book well in advance.
Reasonably priced at around £25 for a three course meal, we have a great value wine list specifically tailored to our style of food offerings.
We're a great place to hold a party since we can boast over 40 different tequilas! Best of all we have managed to serve up over 700 different brews of real ale, many from independent micro breweries, in our time too. One of our Margaritas with the latino music really can transport you back to that holiday feeling.
We celebrate this five year milestone by saying 'thank you' to our regular customers. Later in the year during our 5th Annual Beer Festival (over the August Bank Holiday weekend) we are planning something special.
For the future, we look to be here at least another five years and continue to do what we do best... provide a place to enjoyed by all.
