Simply and traditionally furnished with well-used chairs, tables and a small bar, all of bare wood, the pub serves unfancy food -- sandwiches, burgers, chips nicely priced with most items under a fiver. The pub cat ambling around adds to the pleasant atmosphere. The name of the pub apparently hails from the mid 1800's when the landlord protested against a law permitting anybody to sell beer. Everywhere people were brewing and selling beer from the front room so the landlord covered his establishment with posters protesting the act and demanding that Parliament give him a break. The posters read 'Live and Let Live' and the name subsequently stuck.
