What we thought
Swynford Paddocks is a 17th century mansion set in sixty-four acres of studland outside Newmarket. The building has a long-standing connection with the racing industry; it also has a fascinating connection with Lord Byron who was a frequent visitor to his sister Augusta, the mistress of the house, with whom he was having an incestuous affair.

Wedding
Our daughter was married at Manor 64 in May. There was a delay in the refurb: of the hotel which caused ourselves, our daughter, and her now husband, major stress. However on the day, when the Sun shone believe it or not, Janni, the manager, Vincent, and all the staff pulled out all the stops to make the whole experience memorable, in a good way.
