CB2 (Cambridge)
What we thought
For a location in which to sip coffee and people watch, you can't get much better than the corner of Norfolk Street, and CB2's really know how to make the most of its advantageous position.
None too pretentious with its shabby chic decoration (more like you are walking into a friend's house then restaurant) it showcases a hybrid of cultures, boasting wifi internet access and advertising local Shakespeare plays and poetry

disappointing
Saturday morning, only two other customers - I left the table to approach the two staff behind the counter after a few minutes and asked for a menu to be told the kitchen didn't open till 12pm and that the breakfast menu was on the board.... but then gave me two paper menus. Underwhelmed so far we ordered two lattes and a pain au chocolat - the coffees were half froth

CB2 Great atmosphere, food has room for improvement
Tremendous that CB2 has such fabulous events and a great atmosphere , but a plate of houmus and dips all tasted the same - hopelessly bland - when we ordered it last week. Lovely venue, serious attention to flavour needed
