Not waht it was
The reviews below aren't wrong. I've been going here on and off for over 20 years and currently, the food on offer is very mediocre. I was in just before Christmas and the lamb madras (always a guide to how good a curry house is) was extremely ordinary. However, the dishes my colleagues ordered were awful, with lots of sweet sauce and little spice. This place used to serve up

Needs a restaurant makeover
Went to the Golden curry for the first time in about 15 years and nothing had changed......the decor and food were both just like they were all those years ago! Tables are too close together for comfort - it's like sitting on the same table as the people next to you. The decor is faded and grubby looking (which makes me wonder what the kitchen is like), the
