Cambridge Brew House, The (Cambridge)
What we thought
This new microbrewery and gastropub hidden away on King Street is definitely worth tracking down. It has a warm and welcoming bar area, with large mirrors and wooden seating at different heights. Low tables are surrounded by sofas for groups to gather and drink. The atmosphere is buzzy, and seats fill especially quickly on weeknights after work. The beers on tap are made locally, and will soon include their own

RIP Jolly Scholar
There's a new pub in town that brews it's own beer! Rising from the ashes of the now defunct Jolly Scholar, (which was an attempt to re-create the successful rural gastropub The Jolly Sailor in the centre of a city) is the Cambridge Brew pub.. We tried it las week and found that it was very busy even at 12.15 on Saturday lunch time with most tables already reserved.
