| 'The plain but pleasant entrance to the St Radegund hides a gem of an English pub. The smallest pub in Cambridge, this lively venue has a private and snug environment in which it is easy to relax and hide from the outside world enjoy a touch eccentricity. This includes some strange customs, like the 'Wall of Shame' notice board and a picture of Dame Vera Lynn over the bar. They allow the Vera Lynn Appreciation club to pay homage when they meet there every Friday night. There are occasional jazz sessions to enhance ... pub that bursts with ambience and where everyone is made to feel more than welcome to stay and discuss the woes of the world over a pint... or two or three. the mellow atmosphere and when we visited, a Mexican mariachi band dropped by to entertain the drinkers. The St Radegund does not compromise on the quality and range of drinks it offers. It has a great cocktail menu and a fantastic range of 12 Polish vodkas and 14 malt whiskies hiding seductively behind the bar. A past recipient of the Campaign For Real Ale (CAMRA) best pub of the year award, it naturally has a good selection of real ales and cider on offer. It all adds up to a pub that bursts with ambience and where everyone is made to feel more than welcome to stay and discuss the woes of the world over a pint.. or two or three.
