Jonathan…27 Mar 2010Had an enjoyable evening meal here, the restaurant is cosy with a lovely atmosphere and nicely laid tables. We were also treated to live music too, although a nice touch, because it is a basement environment, this does make it hard to hold a conversation with fellow diners due to the volume. Food was very good, although our first choice of starter was unavailable, replacements were tasty, a freshly made salad was exceptional. Steak and pasta mains were cooked to perfection, but the meat dishes need more vegetables/salad for the premium price. It is odd that they only accept cash, rather than cards or cheque. We did enjoy the food and general atmosphere and would return.
Karin…20 Nov 2009Food poor quality for the price. We ordered the chargrilled chicken salad which turned out to be processed meat! They also added the service to the bill.
Sally…30 Sep 2009Overpriced for what it is. I ordered a fillet steak - and it was a beautiful steak, and cooked perfectly, but was ruined by a sauce that I can only describe as tasting like Bovril. It was so overpowering. I expected a lot more for a £24 main course. They also only take cash - which immediately makes me concerned that someone is cooking the books, or that people aren't being paid correctly.
Jayne…02 Aug 2009The Food Was very nice, it was a shame though as the waiter was in a hurry for us to go at 10pm and we asked for coffee's but he could not be bothered and just brought us the bill, meal for 3 cost £85, they could of made more money out of us with coffee and liquer, but were not interested. As we were leaving, we saw the waiter sitting down having his dinner.Would like to go back for the food, but not the service.
