The Restoration & The Regicides.
The Restoration of the Stuart monarchy took place in 1660 and those held responsible for the death of the King were punished. The 350th anniversary of the Restoration will focus on the return of the `Merry Monarch´, Charles II, but he was determined to take his revenge on the regicides. The exhibition explains what happened to those accused of killing the new King´s father.
